Workshop 18

This session will explore how Gender Affirming Care Prince Edward Island helped advance more equitable gender-affirming care through policy work grounded in community collaboration. Jocelyn Adams (she/her) will share key lessons from this advocacy process, including relationship-building, accountability, and equity-focused decision-making. Participants will also be invited to reflect on how these approaches can support change within their own systems and spheres of influence.

Jocelyn Adams is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Gender Affirming Care Prince Edward Island, a trans-led non-profit health organization. Based in rural Prince Edward Island, she brings more than 20 years of communications experience to work grounded in cultural humility, ethical curiosity, and strategic collaboration.
