What is the summit?
Alter Acadie NB’s first Provincial Health Summit is a space for reflection, dialogue and action focused on health equity, inclusion and access to care, with a particular focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in a francophone minority context. Three days of conferences, panels, workshops, discussions and cultural activities.
When and where?
October 28, 29 and 30, 2026, at the Université de Moncton (Moncton campus, New Brunswick).
Who is the summit for?
This summit is for everyone with an interest in inclusive healthcare. Healthcare professionals will gain practical, affirming tools, while service providers will strengthen their practices and connections. Researchers will benefit from a dedicated session, while decision-makers will find insights to help build more equitable services. Educators will gain resources to support awareness and learning, while 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies will find a safer space to connect and take action.
How much does it cost?
We offer three rates to make the Summit accessible to as many people as possible, while also supporting its organization.
I can't afford it—what should i do?
We've implemented a sliding-scale pricing structure to ensure that cost is never a barrier, as well as a scholarship program for those who need it. No one should be turned away for financial reasons—write to us, and we'll find a solution.
What does registration include?
Access to all activities, the opening night cocktail reception, breakfast and lunch on days 2 and 3, snacks and coffee, parking, and cultural activities.
Can i register for just one day or for specific workshops?
No. Registration covers the entire Summit, so it is not possible to register for a single day or for specific activities. One registration gives you access to the full three-day program, and you can choose which sessions and activities you would like to attend.
Can i participate in the summit remotely?
No. The Summit will take place entirely in person at the Université de Moncton. You must be on site to participate in the conferences, workshops and other activities.
What languages will be used at the summit?
The Summit will take place in French, English and Chiac. Several conferences will offer simultaneous interpretation between French and English. Some workshops will be presented in French and others in English.
