Accessibility
The Summit is being organized with particular attention to accessibility and participation conditions. We aim to provide a respectful, safe, welcoming and genuinely inclusive environment, taking into account diverse and intersecting realities, including those of people with visible or invisible disabilities, Indigenous, Black, racialized and immigrant people, as well as members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities who experience multiple forms of marginalization.
We also wish to reduce financial barriers to participation. A three-tier solidarity-based pricing model is offered in order to take into account the diverse economic realities of participants and organizations. Registration and travel bursaries may also be available, based on expressed needs and available resources. Requests will be handled confidentially, on a case-by-case basis.
We also place particular importance on creating safer and more supportive spaces for all participants. A security team will be present during the event, and its members will receive appropriate training to ensure they understand the issues related to inclusion, respectful welcome and participant safety. Staff involved in the Summit will also receive preparation adapted to these realities.
All rooms where Summit activities take place are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Accessible entrances and designated accessible parking spaces will be clearly identified on the site map.
People with specific needs may contact us in advance so that, to the extent possible, we can plan the necessary accommodations or supports.
Our commitment extends to our Code of Conduct, which outlines expected behaviours and explains how to report an incident before, during, or after the event. This Code of Conduct applies to all Summit activities, including conferences, workshops, networking opportunities, cultural programming, and online interactions.
Languages and Interpretation
The Summit will take place primarily in French. Simultaneous interpretation into English will be available throughout the event. Some workshops and panels will also be presented in English, with simultaneous interpretation into French. A few optional training sessions will be offered in one language only, either French or English.
