Training Session

The Inclusive Allyship Workshop provides a practical and accessible foundation for building safer, more inclusive environments. Participants explore key topics including relevant laws, the difference between sex and gender, current terminology, and what it truly means to be an ally. The session also addresses common myths vs. facts, safety and privacy considerations, and offers an inclusion self-assessment to strengthen everyday practice.

As Education Coordinator at Chroma NB, Elena Shevchenko (she/her) is a queer theatre director, drama teacher, and acting coach. Holding a master’s degree in directing, she has directed more than 40 productions. Based in Canada since 2021, she creates safer, more inclusive, and trauma-informed spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adults, as well as their allies.
