Training Session

This training offers an introduction to the basic concepts of sexual and gender diversity, an overview of the issues faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and best practices for fostering their inclusion. Whether this is your first training on the subject or a refresher, it will strengthen your knowledge to help you make the most of the Summit's three days of programming.

Julien Rougerie (he/him) is a trainer and content specialist at Fondation Émergence, where he has worked since 2017. His work primarily involves delivering training and providing support to help professionals offer more welcoming and inclusive services for people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Julien works mainly in the health and social services sectors and specializes in issues affecting LGBTQ+ seniors, LGBTQ+ caregivers, and conversion therapy. Since 2023, he has also been a trainer on sexual diversity and gender plurality inclusion for Quebec’s National Institute of Public Health (INSPQ).
